Pacific Seeds recognises Downs ag retailers, growers at awards night
Pacific Seeds’ annual Agents and Industry Christmas Party has recognised some of the most outstanding rural retailers and growers on the Central and Southern Darling Downs.
Rural retailer Landmark won the big prize, taking home Agent of the Year for its service to the seed industry.
Hugh Reardon-Smith was at the event at the Toowoomba Showgrounds last Thursday to collect the award.
Farmer of the Year went to Shane and Tabitha Peters for their ongoing dedication to the advancement of cropping.
Trial Co-Operator of the Year was scooped by growers Tim and Glenys Logan for their high level of participation in Pacific Seeds’ trials.
Pursehouse Rural received the Farmer Service Award for its outstanding contribution to the industry.
Olsens Produce was recognised for its work in the industry, winning the Agent Excellence Award, and Felton Produce was presented with the Excellence in Service Award.
The Agent Service Award was presented to Elders, Varys Brookstead won the Field Service Award, and Pursehouse Rural took home the Farmer Service Award.
The Grower Focus Award went to PB Agrifood, and the Customer Service Award went to CRT Raff Group.
NFW Group and Norco Rural both earned Achiever Awards.
