  • LRPB Vortex is the highest-yielding mid maturing wheat variety available to Western Australian growers, consistently outperforming established varieties in trials since 2020. 
  • In 2022, it became the first variety to exceed 8.0t/ha* in the WA GRDC NVT system, setting a new benchmark for yield potential.

Stress & disease tolerance

  • LRPB Vortex provides a strong all-round disease package for WA, including a Moderately Susceptible (MS) rating for Powdery Mildew. 
  • It also demonstrates good tolerance to acidic soils and aluminium, with moderate tolerance to boron and alkaline conditions.

  • LRPB Vortex is suited to the main sowing window in May across all WA Ag Zones.
