Pacific Seeds recognises agents and growers at awards night
December 10, 2019Pacific Seeds’ annual Agents and Industry Christmas Party has recognised some of the most outstanding rural retailers and growers on the Central and Southern Darling Downs.
Rural retailer Pursehouse Rural won the big prize, taking home Agent of the Year for its service to the seed industry.
Nick Park was at the event at the Toowoomba Showgrounds last Thursday to collect the award.
Farmer of the Year went to Bill and Anita Middleton for their ongoing dedication to the advancement of cropping.
Trial Co-Operator of the Year was scooped by growers Melvin and Dianne Mengel for their high level of participation in Pacific Seeds’ trials.
Elders Group received the Farmer Service Award for its outstanding contribution to the industry.
PB Agrifood was recognised for its work in the industry, winning the Agent Excellence Award, and Olsens Produce was presented with the Excellence in Service Award.
Gaylene Anderson, Nutrien Ag Solutions, took home the Gold Medal Award for her work ethic, while Brian and Del Kronk received the Appreciation Award for their 35 years as Pacific Seeds trial co-operators.
The Agent Service Award was presented to Felton Produce and CRT Killarney Co-Op won the Field Service Award.
The Grower Focus Award went to Varys Brookstead and the Customer Service Award went to Nutrien Ag Solutions.
Norco Rural Stores picked up the High Flyer Award, while NFW Group and CRT Raff Group both earned Achiever Awards.
